This charming little home boasts characterful, country living at its best, with plenty of beautiful walks directly from your front door, and with Wells, Stiffkey and Blakeney all nearby, you’ll be chasing the waves on the sandy shores in no time! Accommodating up to four guests across two bedrooms, this cute abode offers a cosy sitting room equipped with a wood burner for those chillier days. This idyllic escape awaits to help rest and recharge those batteries in the heart of wonderful Norfolk.

A traditional two-up two-down, this property is ideally situated to explore the wonderful local area near the Norfolk coast. On the ground floor, the kitchen is fully fitted with everything needed to whip up delectable meals, which can then be enjoyed at the dining table for four. The living room, with its beamed ceiling, has comfortable seating, a wood burner and a Smart television with access to streaming services. The steep traditional Norfolk winder staircase leads to the first floor where you’ll find a twin room with a dormer window and a double room with a skylight. The bathroom with a bath and shower attachment finishes the interior. For outside spaces, you have a choice. Either the landscaped garden or the shared courtyard, both of which have seating.

Little and Great Walsingham are only a mile apart and you would think by the names that the latter would be larger than the former, but this is not the case! Both villages are surrounded by lovely, undulating countryside between the picturesque Glaven Valley and the North Norfolk coast. The sandy beaches of Wells-next-the-Sea (6 miles) and Holkham (8.5 miles) are a short distance away. Little Walsingham is the more historic of the two, with The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham and Walsingham Abbey grounds as well as an excellent, award-winning farm shop, numerous cafes, a renowned fish and chip shop which is a well-kept secret, and pubs and restaurants. Great Walsingham has a craft centre with shops, and a pie shop/restaurant. Cycle routes 1 and 2 are on your doorstep and will take you to the coastal villages of Cley, Salthouse and Weybourne (all within 12 miles).

19 Hill View, Great Walsingham is a beautiful 2 bedroomed cottage in a picturesque hamlet. The cottage has a spacious and well equipped Kitchen linked to a large and comfortable lounge with a comfy sofa and chairs. The stairs to the bathroom and 2 bedrooms are behind a door off this lounge. The outside space immediately adjacent to the cottage is sRead morehared with 2 neighbouring cottages. The patio area for No. 19 had garden table and 2 chairs in a great spot for the late afternoon sunshine. Adequate car parking is provided adjacent to the cottage via a small gate from the cottage and double gates from the road. The garden to the right of the parking space was absolutely full of flowering shrubs and plants with another table and chairs set, making it a great place for morning coffee. Just over 4 miles out on easy roads from Wells-next-the Sea gave us best of both worlds, quiet countryside and a beautiful seaside harbour town. We would definitely stay there again. Hide

The Hill is a beautiful, tranquil cottage in an equally gorgeous part of Norfolk. A super location to explore local beaches and villages. And we can highly recommend The Barn (just 5 minutes walk from the cottage) for excellent coffee, cake and pies. The only reason for a 4/5 on "equipment at the property" was that we couldn't use the washing maRead morechine (until it was quickly put right at the beginning of the working week....but too late for us) and the wood burner's chimney was not drawing well and smoke backfilled into the lounge. But these are only very minor gripes for a great cottage and well equipped for a short break. Hide
