Enjoying a secluded location in a large paddock surrounded by magnificent woodlands, this unique getaway makes an unforgettable couple’s retreat. Dating back to the Victorian era, the imaginatively repurposed railway carriage has been imaginatively and sympathetically updated to provide cosy, tranquil holiday accommodation for up to two guests. Featuring a wealth of original features including stained glass light fittings, authentic signage, brass fixtures and beautifully restored wooden floorboards, this characterful bolthole offers a quaint and relaxing retreat for rail enthusiasts, walkers, cyclists and nature lovers discovering a stunning part of the Norfolk countryside.
A couple of steps lead up through the train doors and into the accommodation. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner occupies most of the carriage, with dual aspect windows and plenty of original details. The lounge area has a Smart TV and comfortable seating so you can enjoy a favourite movie in the evenings. There’s a stylish and fully equipped kitchen at one end of the carriage, with the dining area at the other end, perfect for sharing romantic meals. The carriage also features a delightfully furnished bedroom with a double bed and an invigorating en-suite shower room. A couple of steps lead down out of the carriage and into the large south-facing paddock enclosed by post and rail paddock fencing. Here you will find a table and chairs providing a lovely relaxing spot to sit out on a summer’s afternoon and enjoy a quiet drink in peace.
