This beautifully converted barn is brimming with character and high-quality furnishings, providing a comfortable and welcoming retreat for families and groups of friends. Surrounded by wildlife, it’s set in the quiet village of Shereford, and makes an ideal base for trips to sandy beaches, seaside towns, stately homes and nature reserves.

A high-ceiling criss-crossed by old beams gives the open-plan living space of this lovely holiday property enormous character and a feeling of airy space. Create tasty meals in the kitchen, which is equipped with a range cooker, linger over them at the wooden dining table and then relax in the lounge area, where comfortable sofas surround a Smart TV. At bedtime, you’ll find two of the three bedrooms on the ground floor - a twin with a pair of 2' 6" single beds plus an en-suite bathroom, and a double with a gorgeous exposed-flint wall. Up on the first floor, tucked under sloping ceilings with more exposed beams, is another double bedroom with a Smart TV. The two double rooms share the use of a lovely shower room on the ground floor. The courtyard outside is complemented by a covered seating area in the corner of another barn - just the spot for a morning coffee or some pre-dinner drinks.

Shereford is 3 miles from the market town of Fakenham, renowned for its weekly market, and just 11.5 miles from lovely Wells-next-the-Sea and the North Norfolk coast, much of which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sculthorpe, 3 miles, has a fenland nature reserve - a super place to observe a wide variety of bird and wildlife. The Georgian town of Burnham Market, 11.5 miles, is a popular village to visit; on the way, drive through North Creake and explore the abbey ruins.

Our second visit to this comfortable and cosy accommodation. The Hayloft is in a picturesque, rural and tranquil setting but with easy access to our preferred attractions in North Norfolk. Thanks to Debbie and Rob again for the welcome hamper and being perfect hosts. The accommodation has everything needed for a relaxing break.

The Hayloft was the perfect base for our stay in north Norfolk, it had everything we needed, well thought out with a home from home feel. It is located in a beautiful, peaceful and rural setting. We were able to walk from the door in the evening and enjoyed sightings of the guinea fowl, pea hens and wildlife such as pheasants, deer and hares. WRead moree were able to travel to villages and towns in the surrounding area and coast, we were also lucky with the early heat wave and were able to come back from visits and soak up the sun in the courtyard. We received a warm welcome and hamper from the owners who were close to hand but not intrusive in any way. We wouldn't hesitate to choose the Hayloft again next time we are travelling to Norfolk. A wonderful cottage which works well especially with 2 bathrooms. Location is in the heart of the countryside, so peaceful. The entire north Norfolk coast is 30 to 40 minutes away so there is so much to do and you can retreat to the cottage in the evening. The Town is 10 minutes away with all you need. Brilliant time.

Lovely place and ideal for birdwatching locations such as Sculthorpe, Snettisham, Titchwell, Holme & Cley. Tucked away from the main roads in a quiet valley with a resident Barn owl which showed itself regularly. The cottage is clean, fresh and modern. A great place to unwind and slow down. The only downside is there is no phone signal as it isRead more set down in a valley, but they do have good broadband so you can always make calls via WhatsApp. Hide
