Spend quality time with your loved one in the Norfolk Coast AONB whilst staying at this charming cottage which is perfect for two. Boasting a pretty, private courtyard and characterful interiors, a romantic retreat here is sure to be one you’ll remember for many years to come. Right on your doorstep you’ll be able to access the Norfolk Coast Path, soaking up the scenery and keeping your eyes peeled for fascinating wildlife.
As you step inside, the living room welcomes you with a comfortable sofa and a quirky single seat, both of which encourage you to kick back and relax beside the electric flame effect fire. On the other side of the room, beneath the TV, is the charming dining table where intimate meals can be shared at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The kitchen is compact yet still has everything you’ll need to cook up a storm, with dual-aspect windows allowing the natural light to flood the space. At the end of the day, the bathroom is a great place to unwind in the bathtub to get yourself ready for a good night’s sleep. Take the stairs up to the mezzanine floor and you’ll find the double bed facing a lovely skylight where you can watch the stars before falling asleep. Outside is the courtyard, surrounded by exposed brick and lush green climber plants with a table for four to allow you to enjoy a meal alfresco when the sun is shining.
Pack a picnic and venture to Holkham Park (7 miles) for a day of walking through more than 3,000 acres of wildflowers, woodland and lake where you’ll be in awe of the scenery and architecture throughout. If you’re a seafood lover, Cromer (18 miles) is a must-visit to sample their tasty locally caught brown crabs, but also to visit the traditional seaside resort where you can spot the iconic pier, see Banksy’s Great British Spraycation piece and spend time soaking up the sunshine on the sandy beach.
