Only 350 metres from Wells-next-the-Sea’s enchanting harbour, this cosy cottage is wonderfully located for a memorable break along the Norfolk coastline. Two beautifully styled bedrooms sleep up to four guests, one of which boasts a Juliet balcony to make the most of the views. And with a fine array of shops and the beach within a mile of the front door, you can easily leave the car behind and explore on foot.
Head straight for the lounge after an exciting day of exploration and do some channel surfing on the TV or listen to some calming music on the CD player, all while basking in the warmth of the wood burner-effect gas fire. When your stomach starts growling, wander into the kitchen/dining room to find it fully equipped with everything you need to whip up some culinary creations. There is also a family shower room on the ground floor. Ascend to the first floor when sleep calls and choose between a king-size bedroom, and a twin bedroom with a Juliet balcony – both are served by the first-floor family bathroom. And for morning coffees and chilled evening drinks, nowhere beats the enclosed, paved garden.
When the sun is shining, grab your swimming costumes and enjoy a short 1-mile stroll to the beach. From here, you can pick up the Norfolk Coast Path and set off on a scenic journey to Blakeney and its seal colony in one direction (8 miles) or Burnham Market and its seafood restaurants in the other (5.5 miles). For family fun, take a short steam train ride on the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway (1 mile) for some epic countryside views.
