Only 350 metres from Wells-next-the-Sea’s enchanting harbour, this cosy cottage is wonderfully located for a memorable break along the Norfolk coastline. Two beautifully styled bedrooms sleep up to four guests, one of which boasts a Juliet balcony to make the most of the views. And with a fine array of shops and the beach within a mile of the front door, you can easily leave the car behind and explore on foot.

Head straight for the lounge after an exciting day of exploration and do some channel surfing on the TV or listen to some calming music on the CD player, all while basking in the warmth of the wood burner-effect gas fire. When your stomach starts growling, wander into the kitchen/dining room to find it fully equipped with everything you need to whip up some culinary creations. There is also a family shower room on the ground floor. Ascend to the first floor when sleep calls and choose between a king-size bedroom, and a twin bedroom with a Juliet balcony – both are served by the first-floor family bathroom. And for morning coffees and chilled evening drinks, nowhere beats the enclosed, paved garden.

When the sun is shining, grab your swimming costumes and enjoy a short 1-mile stroll to the beach. From here, you can pick up the Norfolk Coast Path and set off on a scenic journey to Blakeney and its seal colony in one direction (8 miles) or Burnham Market and its seafood restaurants in the other (5.5 miles). For family fun, take a short steam train ride on the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway (1 mile) for some epic countryside views.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 king-size and 1 twin

Cottage is very comfortable and in a perfect position for Wells Next the Sea. We had 2 cars but parked 2nd one in the car park opposite. Just missed a small freezer/freezer box. Otherwise very well equipped.

Really lovely accommodation and centrally located without being noisy. Brilliant for our family of four and our dog. Superb welcome pack and warm and comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here. Parking on the drive is tight (we have a BMW X3) but absolutely do-able and didnt put us off. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Fantastic holiday cottage, very central location, benefit of a parking space, really well equipped and comfortable place that felt like a home and not a holiday rental, would definitely stay again

Stonehills cottage is in a fantastic location, so handy for everything. Its clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed staying there. However, as it is a terraced house, there is some noise from next door. Also, the kitchen has the basics but we found it was lacking in some things - very few forks, glasses etc, which means constant washing up for Read morethe next meal. The garden furniture needs replacing as its rusty and tired. The parking space is tight but manageable. But overall, we loved our stay. Hide

4 adults stayed for a couple of nights. Great to have parking. Able to park (reverse parked) a large car in the available spot without a issue. Location was great, and, watched lovely sunsets from the patio at the back. Able to walk to everything in Wells easily.

First impression was the obvious where to park! We were two couples with a big car each! With very very careful parking managed to get one in drive the other was on road but we were asked to move then another car was put there!! Get into the property just after 4 and was freezing kinda expected heating on this time of year!! Beds were comfortableRead more! single room door didnt close! And no wardrobe which it should state. If your short upstairs shower is good and powerful none of us used downstairs one as felt very claustrophobic but was nice to have extra toilet. Didnt find everything we needed in kitchen! Very junked up with mixture of random things and everything dirty we did a lot of cooking so we had to wash a lot of things first!! We brought 4 tumbler glasses as the small mixture of glasses were terrible and none 4 the same. The fridge is small and freezing things I think because small freezer door at top is broken also only big enough for ice. We did have a good week as weather was kind and location is excellent (thankfully as didnt want to keep moving cars!! We wont stay here again! Hide

This cottage is a Gem in Wells. Warm comfortable and perfectly equipped for a family stay. The location is outstanding , close to the Harbour and the shops and onsight parking ,a rarity in Wells. The courtyard garden has uninterrupted views towards the sea and also has lovely outside seating. This cottage is a real home from home !

Ideally located for beach, harbour and shops but quiet. It suited the two of us. The dining area is very cramped, partly because there are six heavy dining chairs and nowhere to move the unwanted ones to. Other niggles: an immoveable child gate across lounge doorway and only one door key provided. Parking requires a lot of care but may have beeRead moren more difficult than usual because of building work at neighbouring house. Hide

This cottage is in a lovely location and is well equipped. On the downside, the sofa was stained and smelt badly of dog. Similarly the carpet downstairs and the chair cover for outside were stained and smelt of dog.

A really comfortable cottage, great location in Wells Next The Sea. Its not 5* luxury but a well equipped kitchen and lovely living room with large TV and very comfy sofa. Bedrooms were a good size but lack storage. Yes, some maintenance/ decorative jobs would make this even better but for a relaxing break we were very pleased with our booking.

Fantastic cottage in great location. We received a 10% refund as unfortunately we were not able to park at the property due to roadworks outside. The refund and communication was handled quickly. I would highly recommend Stonehill Cottage for its great location and a well equipped property offering everything we needed.

The cottage is in a good location but there were so many annoying maintenance issues that I can openly state it is over priced and lacks the care required for it to be a good place to spend some time. I would not rent it again.
