Retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life at this traditional brick-and-flint fisherman’s cottage in the charming village of Blakeney. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms, it’s a great accommodation option for small families or groups of friends yearning to lose themselves in North Norfolk’s epic scenery. Take a boat trip to Blakeney Point to see the seal colonies during the day; and in the evening, come home to the cottage’s pretty garden to fire-up the BBQ and dine alfresco with your loved ones.

Step inside and you’ll be welcomed by the beautiful, bright living/dining area. Slip onto a sofa and make yourself at home before making your way to the stylish kitchen to whip up some dinner. Get the whole gang together for a sociable meal in the cosy dining area, or make your way out onto the patio, fire up the charcoal BBQ and dine alfresco. After dinner, treat yourself to a glass of wine in the garden, or head back into the living area to relax in front of the glowing wood burner. At bedtime, head upstairs and take your pick from two charming bedrooms.

Kick off the perfect day at Blakeney Quay (0.5 miles). Stroll along the promenade, breathe in the fresh sea air and take a little time out to watch the boats in the harbour. Then, head to Morston Quay (1.5 miles), hop on a boat and sail out to the nature reserve at Blakeney Point to meet its colonies of seals. Further afield (9 miles), make your way to Wells-next-the-Sea to take a trip on the historic Wells-Walsingham Light Railway, go hiking through the pretty pine woods, or treat yourself to some fish and chips at the harbour.

Lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful village. Lovely place to base yourself for walks and eating and drinking with 2 good pubs and a couple of restaurants.

Lovely cottage which is ideally placed on the High Street in Blakeney. Very comfortable beds and sofas and well equipped kitchen, although bijou, was very well stocked and we loved the welcome basket of goodies. We had great weather so we were out and about for most of the day but this would also be the ideal cottage if the weather was not so greRead moreat as the log fire was good and the TV had all the channels as well as Netflix. Good central heating so nice and warm in the evening as well. Very good support from Original Cottages if anything is needed/goes wrong which is important. Blakeney is ideally placed for great beaches and walks and the village has very good bakery/pubs and cafes as well as a decent deli only a few doors up from the cottage. Hide

Overall, good value for money and a cute place to stay. The bed was super comfy and the log burner a nice touch in the winter.

Pear Tree is a lovely cottage in a tranquil village. We stayed during a very cold spell, but once the log burner was lit it became even more cosy. Everything worked as youd expect, comfy beds, with a location just off the sea front it was just what we needed for a break away with lots of beach walking with the dog. Excellent accommodating BUT.We had to acquire additional logs for the wood burner only enough provided for one day.We had asked for a generous supply of logs when booking (it is an out of season letting and the wood burner was an essential requirement).No instructions for the microwave impossible to make use of it. Fridge door binds on the cupboardRead more so not reliably closes.Window blind missing in the bedroom (used a large towel on coat hangers to cover) Just these small items for a full score. Hide

Wonderful week stay at Pear Tree Cottage. Blakeney is a lovely village on the North Coast and the cottage was a great location to visit and do so much. Well stocked and clean cottage, it felt spacious and comfortable.
