This picture-postcard holiday home enjoys a tucked away location in the village of Sharrington, 5 miles from Norfolk’s north coast. The cottage is perfect for groups of friends and families holidaying together, with bedrooms and bathroom facilities on both floors and a choice of social spaces indoors and outside. The vibrant market town of Holt is 4 miles away, and the seaside resorts of Sheringham and Cromer are within 14 miles.
The attractive brick and flint property is decorated in neutral tones and has a country-cottage style. The cosy lounge is a delightful place to unwind, with ample seating arranged around a SkyTV and open fire. A separate kitchen provides everything needed for a self-catering break, and the dining room is the ideal setting for dinner parties and family celebrations. There’s also a king-size bedroom and a shower room on the ground floor, as well as a handy utility room. Steep, cottage-style stairs lead to the first floor, where you’ll find two further bedrooms and the family bathroom (please note, these rooms have sloping ceilings). To the rear of the cottage is a lawned garden with outdoor furniture and a BBQ, and there’s also a table and chairs on the front patio, allowing you to follow the sunshine throughout the day.
Heading north, you’ll soon reach the coastal village of Blakeney (5 miles), which has a good range of shops and eateries. From Blakeney, the saltmarshes lead to the wildlife haven of Blakeney Point, famous for its colony of grey seals. When it comes to shopping, you’ll be spoilt for choice in Holt (4 miles), where independent shops, boutiques, and galleries line its colourful high street. For a day at the seaside, journey to Sheringham (10.5 miles) to wander along its sandy beach or ride on the heritage steam train.
