Also a short stroll across the Common is the Bittern trainline running to Sheringham, or Cromer and on to Norwich. A 10-minute walk through the village of West Runton will take you to the beautiful sandy beach with chalk rockpools. You can walk towards Cromer or Sheringham paddling in the sea as you go, or wrap up warm on a blustery winter's day.
