Banham is a charming village in Breckland, which is a beautiful but little known area of Norfolk, here you will find open sandy heathland that is home to rare birds such as the Stone Curlew. There is a selection of independent shops and a local pub serving food at weekends, and the village is also the home of the award winning Banham Zoo which is set in parkland and houses an extensive collection of birds and animals. The historic market town of Diss is only eight miles away or venture a little further to the cathedral city of Norwich where you will find an abundance of shops, restaurants, theatres and museums. The area is great for walking and cycling, Thetford Forest where you will find marked walks and cycle trails is also within easy reach.
