A 150-year-old barn in an idyllic location on the edge of the Glaven Valley and just 6 miles from Holt, one of many characterful market towns and villages dotted in and around the Norfolk Coast AONB. Showcasing original features and offering an open-plan lounge/diner, three spacious and versatile bedrooms and a large garden, it is ideal for small families or groups craving a relaxing holiday.
Sympathetically restored to a high standard, with exposed beams and vaulted ceilings in a number of its bright and welcoming rooms, the barn has an inviting ambience with everything a group could need for a stress-free stay close to hand. Sink into the comfortable soft furnishings of the lounge/diner after a long day exploring the coast, perhaps following an indulgent meal prepared in the kitchen opposite, a real foodie’s haven with enough room for a sous chef or two. The two double bedrooms (one with en-suite) and the twin bedroom nearby are a welcome sight at the day’s end, with a shower room on hand to help start the following morning fresh and ready to go. The garden is surrounded by trees and is split between a patio area at the front of the barn and a lawned area to the side; a lovely setting for children’s games before a hearty BBQ supper.
Briston (1 mile) is a small, vibrant village home to family-friendly shops, pubs and a plethora of footpaths that lead walkers across open farmland and through attractive woodland. The ancient streets of Holt (6 miles) offer cultural, historical and natural attractions aplenty, while Sheringham (12 miles) is a characterful seaside town with umpteen attractions and a gorgeous beach.
