Property code: OC-1922

Gaze out towards the horizon from this clifftop holiday home in Norfolk’s Overstand. Sleeping nine guests, and welcoming pets too, the five-bedroom, coastal retreat is perfect for a group wishing to be close to the beach. From here, the sand and sea are just a short half-mile stroll away or you could head a couple of miles further from the three-storey, Victorian property to Cromer.

Return from your days on the beach to kick your flip-flops off in the hall and head straight through to the ground-floor wet room to wash off the sand. Those staying during the winter months can unlace their walking boots and wander through to the lounge to settle down in front of the TV. This generous room has ample space for your party to gather together to play games in the evening. The kitchen/diner, which, along with a utility room, is also downstairs, is another sizeable space and has everything you need to help you cater for your group then dine at the table. Venture up to the first floor for a good night’s sleep in a double, twin or single bedroom. A family bathroom and a family shower room are also at this level, while another double bedroom and a second twin are on the floor above. Spill out into the enclosed garden, which goes right to the cliff edge, to enjoy the sunshine, while keeping an eye on children and dogs as they play. Sizzle your supper on the BBQ and dine against the background of the blue sky and below in the summer months. There is storage for bikes at this property, plus parking for four cars.

From the property, the bustling seaside town of Cromer is only 2.5 miles away, where you can go shopping, dine out and enjoy traditional seaside amusements. Wander along the pier and catch the summer or Christmas shows in its theatre.

East Dean was well equiped and plenty of space for all our family. Lovely sea views and a bonus of a rainbow oow over the sea while we were there. Plus a acrobatic air display from a plane on the day we arrived which was a nice surprise.

The cottage / house is in a lovely village location, 2 minutes walk down to the glorious beach and 2 minutes walk in the other direction to the village pub (where the roast dinner we had was exceptional). The house is large and spacious and light and the garden deceptively larger than you may first think - we had great weather so the outdoor space Read morewas a nice suntrap and gave plenty of room to either sit on your own and relax or socialise with others. We were a party of 8 with 6 adults and two children and one dog and the dining area was large enough to accompany us to all sit and eat together which is exactly what we wanted. Cromer is accessible easily by bus or by a 1 1/2 hour walk along the beach (we walked that easily and got the bus back!), Sherringham is 20 minutes away by car and the broads are 30 minutes away at Potter Heigham. All in all we loved our stay and it's definately a property we would use again down to the location, space on offer and homely feel it presented for us. Hide

We had a lovely stay over Easter. Lovely location and very well equipped house. The majority of the house was very comfortable and well set up for children. The only downside was the damp feel and smell on the top floor despite adhering to the strict instructions to keep windows and doors open all the time.

The property was lovely, but clearly had not been recently cleaned before our arrival as there were lots of cobwebs and lots of dead flies on the window sill in the main bathroom. The space, layout and location were excellent though as was the large garden.
