This luxurious coastal retreat sits within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just a moments walks to the family-friendly beach at Sheringham. Sleeping eight guests, the property is ideal for family gatherings and get-togethers with friends. Sheringham is a vibrant town offering plenty of things to do and see with the boutique style shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs with live music and amusements. Take in the beautiful scenery when walking along the Norfolk Coast Path, which you can follow in either direction to Cromer or Weybourne. Also don't forget about the fantastic 18 hole golf course placed on the cliffs looking out to sea in Sheringham too. Alternatively, spend the day at one of the many nearby attractions in Cromer, and try the famous Cromer crab or watch a show on the Pier or take the children for a day out at The Amazona Zoo. Other fantastic places to visit are Blakeney for a seal trip to see England's largest seal colony, or head to the broads and rent a boat for the day and cruise along the river. 

The spacious Edwardian home is arranged across three floors and has a contemporary feel, with stylish furniture and colourful accessories. Large, original windows fill each room with natural light. The ground floor houses a grand lounge, with a fabulous bay window, comfortable sofas, and a cosy wood burner. Also on the ground floor is a sociable lounge/diner, with more soft seating and a dining table for hosting dinner parties. French doors open from here, extending the social space in summer months. Completing the ground floor is a stylish kitchen, a utility area, and a shower room. Three bedrooms and the family bathroom are on the first floor, with the remaining king-size bedroom (complete with en-suite shower room) on the top floor. The enclosed garden is perfect for al fresco entertaining, with a BBQ, a patio with furniture, and a lawn for playing outdoor games.

Sheringham is a traditional seaside town, with a sand and pebble beach and many pubs, cafes, and tearooms. Hire a beach hut for the day, potter around the outdoor markets, or hop on the steam train to visit the market town of Holt (7 miles). Here, you’ll find some gorgeous boutiques and galleries showcasing local talent, along with exquisite restaurants. Just outside Holt is the glorious Holt Country Park - the perfect place for a family picnic or tranquil walk through the 100-acre woodland.

A very spacious and comfortable house for our party, with very good facilities, bathrooms, showers etc. Excellent supply of books, games, etc. which kept our 3 grandchildren amused. Excellently situated in terms of quietness but very close to shops, restaurants etc. and an easy walk to the seafront and beaches .

This is a really lovely holiday home in a fantastic location. The house is very well equipped, warm, clean and spacious. In spite of the showery weather our 3 generation family had a great holiday.

Alexandra Cottage was a lovely comfortable holiday home. It was very well equipped and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Its in the perfect location as its a short walk to the shops. It was pleasure to stay there.

Property as described - decorated and cleaned to a high standard with everything we needed. Comfortable beds and good quality bedding and towels. Lots of storage space and hangers. Kitchen very well equipped for cooking and a useful utility area. Parking outside can be a challenge especially if you have small children to get in to the house. I wRead moreould have chosen practical things like hand soap in each bathroom and washing up liquid, bin bags etc rather than the goodie pack provided that we didnt really use! Location is excellent for Sheringham. Hide

We had a wonderful time in Sheringham. Alexandra Cottage was in a great location, far enough out to be quiet but a short walk took you to everything you could want. The Shops, the beach, the supermarket, attractions and more! The cottage was beautiful, it had everything you could need and want for a comfy, relaxing, and stress-free holiday. We loveRead more cooking so to have sharp knives, a fantastic oven, utensils galore and a BBQ made it easy to shop at the butchers, fishmongers, bakery and greengrocers without worrying if you were going to be able to find what you needed to make a wonderful feast. The accommodation as well as being beautifully done is also practical, with enough seating for everyone at both the table and in front of the TV. The beds, linen and towels are also a pleasure to be in and wrap around you! The communication we received was very good. With all the new measures in place we felt confident that everything was being done to make our stay as amazing and 'safe' as possible. I'm trying to think of something negative or that we felt could be improved upon, but I can't so I will leave it there. We have all had the best week in Sheringham and this house has been the perfect base. Sheringham has great local transport if you don't with to drive anywhere. There is the bus in all directions and train to go to Cromer, Wroxham and Norwich!

Excellent property, beautifully furnished, well equipped and in a great location. One of the best family holidays we have had in a long time. The kids wish to return next year in the summer time, so we cant wait to get booked up and come back next year.. Thank you to the owners for letting us stay!

Beautiful accommodation, very spacious, well equipped, great location only a few minutes walk to the beach, and round the corner from the supermarket and takeaways. We loved the local chinese called Lotus House so anyone staying here, check it out!!

Alexandra Cottage is a stunning home throughout and the owners really have thought of everything. No of us wanted to leave by the end of the week. The house is so spacious and very comfortable for all ages. The weather had been kind to us and we loved all the coastal walks, and bird walking down the coast line. Such a great base!

This property has been one of the best we have stayed in over the years, all due to the cleanliness, being so well equipped, comfortable and very spacious. All the family really have had a great time here. Sheringham is brilliant place to visit, along with Cromer, Holt, Holkham, and Wells. Will recommend to everyone we know.

Alexandra Cottage is the perfect base for a stay. The property was so clean and really well equipped, let alone had super comfy beds. Myself and the girls really enjoyed the week we spent here, relaxing, going out for meals and exploring the North Norfolk Coast line. We all had a fantastic holiday here with the kids and grandparents. The property is in a fab location and super close to the town centre, there is lots to do in sheringham and we can wait to return next summer to appreciate the beaches and warmer weather. The cottage was excellent however I felt it was overpriced for a three night stay off season.
