An ideal retreat for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers, this stylishly decorated getaway is ideally situated close to the heart of the thriving rural village of Briston, perfect for exploring North Norfolk.

Entering this pretty cottage, the spacious open-plan lounge/diner makes a lovely space to settle back and unwind in after a fantastic day out. The lounge features a Smart TV and comfortable seating, with a traditional wood burner over by the sociable dining table. A couple of steps lead down into the stylishly arranged kitchen, ideal for rustling up your favourite family dishes. The ground floor also has a useful shower room. Heading up the steep cottage-style stairs, you will find the refreshing main family bathroom and three bright, airy bedrooms: two cheerful doubles and a sweet triple room with bunk beds and an additional single bed. Outside, the fully enclosed garden has a generous lawn with a picnic bench and a BBQ, making a lovely space to sit out and dine alfresco on a beautiful sunny evening.

The picturesque village of Briston has some great places to eat and drink, and is surrounded by glorious countryside perfect for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. To the north, the quaint Georgian town of Holt is home to the North Norfolk Railway and the lovely Holt Country Park. Fakenham (10 miles) is a friendly and historic market town, famous for its racecourse and the stunning Pensthorpe Natural Park. Foxley Wood, Blickling Hall and Baconsthorpe Castle are all within 8 miles.

The cottage is ideally placed to explore Norfolk and the range of shops just around the corner adds to the convenience. By the shops there is a bus stop and we took the opportunity to go into Norwich using our concessionary passes! The cottage has a good size enclosed garden though I would hesitate to trust a small breed not to squeeze under the gaRead morete. There is a big off-road parking area, which I always regard as an essential. On the downside though, I'm probably showing my age by pointing out that the (very) shabby chic furnishings were not to my taste, nor the bare painted floorboards upstairs. The bath upstairs has quite a high side and is quite difficult to get in and out of if you dont have long legs. However there is a downstairs shower if this is a problem. Hide

Great location for visiting the area nice easy parking local public houses dont open very much nice and nice enclosed Garden.

We loved the vibe of this cottage and the location is great for a number of Norfolk beaches and for visiting Norwich and other areas of Norfolk. There are two very low doorways, so just be aware! Other than that, this suited us very well for a group of 7 for a week, especially with the fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. We loved the large gaRead moremes cupboard. Hide

The cottage was a good place to stay, and the garden space was great. Briston is well served with shops and a pub. It's close to the sea and other attractions.

As mentioned on the details it should be noted that the stairs are very steep and quite narrow. The entrance to the cottage is very low, it's easy to bang your head if you're not paying full atention.

We stayed over Christmas and loved every bit of it. The village is lovely and people so friendly. We found everything you could ever need whatever time of year there is everything for children. My grandaughter loved the games cupboard and other toys.
