Join friends and family in this characterful cottage in the quaint village of Sustead, just 4 miles from the Norfolk coast. The spacious property has two lounge areas, as well as a large garden for al fresco entertaining, and is full of period charm. The area is a paradise for walkers, with the long-distance Weaver''s Way passing through the village, leading to the seaside town of Cromer. For shopping and eating out, Holt is just over 10 miles away.

This traditional Norfolk cottage is bursting with character, with original flint walls and exposed beams. On the ground floor is a fantastic social area, with a grand dining hall with a double-height ceiling, wood burner, and ample space for entertaining. There''s also an attractive lounge on this level, with patio doors to the garden, and a spacious kitchen. When it''s time for bed, choose from three tastefully decorated ground-floor bedrooms. Completing the ground floor is a shower room, family bathroom, and utility room. Rounding off this gorgeous rural bolthole is a second lounge on a mezzanine floor overlooking the dining hall. Outside, relax in the charming cottage garden, surrounded by mature trees and shrubs. There''s a lawn where children can play, as well as a sunny patio area for al fresco dining.

Cromer (4.5 miles) has everything you could want from a Victorian seaside town, including a sandy beach, promenade, and pier. During summer months, there''s even a variety show at the end of the pier, in the Pavilion Theatre. Another popular coastal town is Sheringham (6.5 miles), known for its heritage steam train that journeys through the picturesque countryside to Holt. Other nearby attractions include the wildlife haven of Blakeney Point (14 miles), and the National Trust properties of Felbrigg and Blickling Hall (both within 8 miles).

Excellent cottage, well looked after, and a pleasure to return to, as we have done for some years now. Much the best of a number of Norfolk holiday cottages we have stayed at.
