Despite its location next to a busy road, we enjoyed the peace and quiet of this cottage and its extensive garden and the bird life which frequents it. A bonus is its proximity to the Drove Orchards Farm Shop complex with its fishmonger, incredible selection of apples and two 'Eric's' takeaways. We highly recommend the fish and chips and the pizzasRead more looked very appetizing - and they had our preferred daily paper! We also enjoyed fine meals at local restaurants just down the road and re-visiting Tichwell reserve. Hide

We've stayed at Waxwings several times before first in 2019. We love the location of the property and find it handy for all the places we like to visit. The furniture is a little tired and worn now and on this occasion a cleaning issue made things difficult. The garden was beautiful and in full bloom during our stay.

Lovely place, ideal location and a superb garden for the dogs. You may want to bring your own towels as the supplied towels were small. Overall, a lovely place to stay.

Gorgeous property, beautifully decorated and well equipped. Weve stayed twice now and already have a booking to return in July. We love the location, nearby walks and the local farm shop is absolutely fantastic. The cozy living room was decorated for Christmas which was much appreciated.

The property is elegantly furnished and was always comfortably warm with plenty of hot water. The garden is spacious, fenced and therefore ideal for dogs. The garden room with its glass roof was particularly impressive. We even saw migrating pink-footed geese! Location is very good with only a short drive to the nearest beach.

The cottage was under-resourced. Small bath towels ( had to buy large ones), no replacement bin bags ( had to buy) no RinseAid that seemed needed by dishwasher which did not appear to have recommended 7 as a setting....hand washed everything. The second bathroom so distant from bedrooms was awkward and not in a good position directly off lounge.

On the whole everything was perfect only downside we could not walk from the property due to no path therefore had to use the car every time. Couldnt just walk the dogs, road too dangerous.

Property was extremely comfortable and wonderfully warm. Perfect. Only negative is the road. It is the busy A149 without pavement so rather scary to negotiate particularly with a dog.
