This 400-year-old, listed barn conversion has been refurbished to a high standard and is set in a quiet location, where lovely walks and cycle rides in the country lanes are just on the doorstep, as is the pub/restaurant, which is just 300 metres away. Elegantly furnished with cosy beds and super walk-in showers, there is plenty of space to unwind and relax.
As you enter this single-storey property, you’ll notice modern interiors with nods to the barn’s past including beautiful exposed wooden beams. The kitchen is full of light and has everything needed to whip up delicious meals for the group and a breakfast table and chairs to eat the meals at. The sitting room/dining room is spacious and has comfortable sofas, a Smart TV, and a dining table and chairs for mealtime flexibility. There’s even a study/library with additional seating should you want a quiet moment with a book. Off the library, down a couple of steps you’ll find the bedrooms: an en-suite twin and an en-suite king-size, both with showers, one of which is a large walk-in. There is a pretty private garden to enjoy and a patio that overlooks paddocks, the perfect spot for a quiet drink at the end of the day.
Horsham St Faith is a thriving village on the outskirts of Norwich and there are plenty of activities to hand both locally and a little further afield. The village has a swimming pool, tennis courts and the City of Norwich Aviation Museum is also based here. Cycling and walking in and around the village will take you out to some pretty countryside and there are numerous golf courses and fishing lakes within a few miles. Norwich (6 miles) is easily accessible and has a host of cultural delights, such as the cathedral and castle, as well as fabulous shops, cafes, restaurants and cinema complexes. The Broads are close by and make for lovely days out. Steam buffs will enjoy a ride on the Bure Valley narrow gauge railway, which takes you from Wroxham (9.5 miles) to the charming, Georgian market town of Aylsham (7.5 miles). Don't forget to get a blast of sea air on the wide sandy beach at Winterton-on-Sea or go seal-spotting a little further along the coast at Horsey (both 25 miles).
