The period cottage is set in a peaceful location in the historic market town of Holt. Sleeping four guests, the characterful retreat is perfect for both couples and small families. You’ll be within 200 metres of the town’s vibrant centre and nearby days out include Blakeney National Nature Reserve (8.5 miles) and the popular seaside resort of Cromer (10 miles). In the evenings, enjoy a sundowner on the south-facing patio.
The traditional Norfolk cottage still retains many of its original features, including exposed beams, and is decorated in calming, neutral tones to create a relaxed backdrop to your holiday. The cosy lounge is a delightful place to unwind after a busy day, with comfortable seating set around a Smart TV. For chilly nights, a wood burner-effect gas fire is set within the original fireplace. Glass doors lead through to the formal dining room, which adjoins a country-style kitchen. Steep, cottage-style stairs take you to the bedrooms (one of which is accessed via a step down). Both bedrooms have been elegantly appointed with handmade wooden furniture and tasteful soft furnishings. A contemporary bathroom completes the accommodation. To the front of the cottage is an attractive, south-facing patio garden with pretty plants and flowers and furniture for al fresco dining.
The beautiful Georgian town of Holt is known for its fine selection of independent shops and eateries. While away several hours, pottering around the antique stores and galleries that line its pretty streets, before refuelling in a friendly pub or cute cafe. Just outside the town is Holt Country Park, offering mile upon mile of tranquil countryside walks. From the town, you can hop on the steam trains of the North Norfolk Railway to visit the sandy beach and resort at Sheringham.
