This stylish holiday retreat is in Norfolk’s idyllic coastal village of Blakeney. The characterful cottage sleeps six guests and has a choice of social spaces for spending quality time with family and friends. The area is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, with nearby walks along the Norfolk Coast Path and through Blakeney Point Nature Reserve. Local attractions include the North Norfolk Railway and Holt Country Park (both 6 miles).
The inviting family home has been tastefully decorated, with a bright and breezy, coastal colour scheme and a collection of quirky artwork and accessories. Enter the property into the inviting lounge, where plump sofas and armchairs are nestled around a Smart TV and wood burner. In summer, throw open the patio doors to further extend the social space. The stylish kitchen/diner is the perfect spot for hosting dinner parties and special occasions and, like the lounge, offers direct access to the garden. Completing the ground floor is a peaceful snug. Upstairs, three beautiful bedrooms await, one of which has an en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom on this floor. Outside, the enclosed patio garden has a choice of furniture for relaxing in the sunshine or dining alfresco. There is also a sunny seating area to the front of the cottage.
Blakeney is a pretty village with narrow streets and cute cottages set around a bustling quayside. The village has a good range of local eateries, along with independent shops and galleries. From the quay, you can hop on a boat to visit the nature reserve at Blakeney Point, which is home to England’s largest colony of grey seals. From the cottage, it’s easy to enjoy day trips to the Georgian market town of Holt (5 miles) and the popular seaside resorts at Sheringham (9 miles) and Cromer (14 miles).
