Cley next the Sea is one of Norfolk’s most picturesque villages, famous for its 18th century windmill and impressive 13th century church. The village offers a choice of independent art and craft shops, art galleries and plenty of places to eat and drink. The village is close to a shingle beach, and is home to the NWT Cley Marshes Nature Reserve, the oldest and best known nature reserve in the region. Its lagoons, reedbed and marsh attract a variety of wintering and migrating wildfowl and waders, making it a haven for keen birdwatchers. You can also walk along the Norfolk Coastal Path, and visit charming coastal towns and villages including Blakeney (1.5 miles), Wells-next-the-Sea (10 miles) and Cromer (12 miles).

This beautifully converted single-level former apple store is set in the grounds of the owner’s Georgian village house. It enjoys a tranquil spot, tucked into the lee of the walled garden. On entering this delightful split-level property you will find yourself in the spacious and inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The bright and comfortable lounge is an ideal space to relax in, with plenty of comfortable seating, TV and DVD. There’s also a charming dining area, perfect for sharing a romantic meal for two. Exploring this lovely property further, you will find a cosy bedroom with a king-size bed. There’s also a bathroom complete with shower over the bath and a WC.

Stepping outside, there’s an attractive gravelled courtyard garden with garden furniture, allowing you to unwind and enjoy an evening drink or dine alfresco. Ample parking is available for one car.

Lovely little get away. A warm and well equipped cottage including a nice basket of goodies on arrival. Been in a secure garden we had no worries if our dog managed to slip away from us but after all that running on the nearby dog friendly beaches she was more than happy to chill out around the parking area.

The photos showed a neat outside view, but this was unusable. Suggest DO NOT park outside the property as your car will be quickly be covered in bird xxxx and tree debris. Location once found was great area to enjoy.
