Relish the gorgeous views from this beautiful flint cottage, a lovely blend of old and new and well equipped for couples or small families to enjoy a relaxing getaway by the sea. From here you can head out for days at the beach, play golf, explore beautiful market towns or take a boat trip to see fascinating wildlife.
Brilliantly renovated to create a contemporary escape within a traditional building, this impressive escape is full of light and has an ‘upside-down’ design so as to make the most of its views over the marshes. Head straight upstairs to find the open-plan living space, where your eyes will immediately be drawn to the huge glazed doors and Juliet balcony. This lovely space, with pale walls and timber floors, is perfect for relaxing, with squashy sofas, a wood burner and a TV/DVD for entertainment. The superb kitchen has everything necessary for creative culinary experiences, to be enjoyed at the pretty dining table for four. There’s a lovely shower room on this level, too. Back to the ground floor, and you’ll find another shower room plus two fresh and airy bedrooms, a twin and a double. The patio to the rear of the house includes a dining set for al fresco meals and drinks. From here, you can stroll directly onto the surrounding marshes.
The cottage is located in Brancaster Staithe, an excellent area for bird watching, walking and sailing. The village boasts two pubs, a cafe and a specialist seafood shop, and there are boat trips from the harbour. For beaches, shops and a greater choice of places to eat and drink, you can reach Holkham, Hunstanton and Wells-next-the-Sea in less than 10 miles.
