Escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life with a break in this peaceful single-storey cottage near the Norfolk coast, ideally suited to couples. Bursting with character thanks to the feature pieces of furniture, exposed beams and traditional styling, you’ll feel at home from the moment you step through the door. Within 8 miles, you’ll find Wells-next-the-Sea for a romantic, quintessential seaside experience of beach-side fun and picturesque views.

Step inside and you’ll be welcomed by the characterful open-plan living space which is flooded with natural light thanks to the large window at the rear. Take your pick from one of the two large sofas to sprawl out on and you can relax in comfort, warmed by the coal-effect electric fire. With an antique look, the kitchen is beautifully finished with views out to the gardens to be enjoyed whilst fixing up a feast for two. In addition, the room features a quaint table for two where you can sit down and dine with your loved one. When night falls, you can make your way through the hall to the bedroom, furnished with a delightful double bed with built-in storage for all of your belongings. The wet room completes the property. Outside, you’ll be able to make use of the pretty shared gardens which are filled with mature plants, trees and shrubs to create an oasis of calm.

From Wells, you could join a stretch of the Norfolk Coast Path for an outdoor adventure, venturing across to Blakeney National Nature Reserve (9 miles) which is rich in wildlife and plant life. Here, you can also book yourself aboard a boat trip to see the sights from a unique point of view, with the opportunity to spot seals and other fascinating creatures whilst exploring. For a whimsical woodland walk, make a visit to Holt Country Park (10 miles) and keep your eyes peeled for the Silver-washed fritillary butterfly amongst other rare and wonderful wildlife.

Cottage had everything that was advertised plus unadvertised flies and more flies totally inorganic it's no joke trying to stop them landing on your played or cups at meal times or trying to sleep at night without them invading your body space The flies come from a local poultry farm No matter what the owner does he is fighting a losing battle The Read moreowner should by rights have informed prospective guests that there was an on going problem with the flies otherwise I would have given top marks Hide

Given how close to Walsingham this place is, and that you back onto a country lane, it is fabulously quiet. Very well equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed (firm, my preference), and impressive internet for those that need it. Recommended.

We enjoyed the cottage and the amenities. The only drawback to an excellent week were the flies which kept coming into the property. We could not work out where they were entering and decided that the vent in the bathroom was the most likely entry point. We did not open the windows during our stay. The fact that there is a chicken farm close to theRead more property complex means that the flies are an annoyance factor that we found very very irritating as do other residents in the block. Hide

The cottage is situated on the edge of a lovely village and so is a very quite location, it has a charming courtyard to sit out in the evening which has pillar lights so can be used until late. One of the things that I noticed was because of the lack of lighting in the village was the amazing night sky.The cottage is well equipped with a comfy bed Read moreand plenty of seating. We had a great stay in the beautiful village of Great Snoring. Our cottage was small but very well equipped, good parking and close enough to Fakenham which has a petrol station, shops etc. So quiet and peaceful, a really relaxing time.

The cottage is in a good location, although after a nightmare of a journey to get there it took a while to find it in the dark. In the daytime no problem at all. The cottage is well equipped - kitchen/cleaning/ useful things like milk, butter, tea bags, coffee, oil, salt & pepper, etc. The bed is very comfy. We enjoyed the box set DVDs and the mapsRead more of the area, although we always bring our own as well. The box of places to visit is always useful. Hide
