This delightful character cottage is in the quaint village of Trimingham, on the North Norfolk coast. Sleeping four guests, the property makes a lovely couples’ retreat or base for a small family looking to get away from it all. The cottage is within easy reach of several popular holiday resorts, including Cromer (4.5 miles) and Mundesley (4 miles), and nearby family attractions include Amazona Zoo, Bewilderwood, and the National Trust estates at Felbrigg and Blickling Hall (all within 20 miles).
The traditional cottage still retains many of its original features, including a striking, brick chimney breast in the lounge. The lounge also houses comfortable sofas to sink into after a day of exploring, a TV/DVD, and a cosy wood burner for those chilly, winter nights. From here, move through to the kitchen/diner, where you’ll find everything needed to rustle up tasty feasts for the group and a cute dining table to seat everyone. Just off this space is a handy porch for storing outdoor gear. The two inviting bedrooms are upstairs, along with a family bathroom with a beautiful, free-standing bath. Outside, the enclosed garden has a small lawn and furniture for outdoor dining.
Journey to Cromer to stroll along the sandy beach, watch a variety show at the end of the pier, or sample the famous Cromer crab in one of the many seafood restaurants. The Norfolk Coast Path passes through the town, and you can follow if for 5 miles to the neighbouring resort of Sheringham. Sheringham also boasts a sandy beach, backed by colourful beach huts, and is home to the North Norfolk Railway. Step back in time with a ride on one of the heritage steam trains, which chug through the countryside to the attractive market town of Holt.
