This rural bolthole is in the quaint village of Great Bircham, surrounded by the beautiful Norfolk countryside. The property sleeps four guests, making it ideal for couples and small families, and has a choice of dining areas both inside and in the large, tranquil garden. The bustling village of Burnham Market is 8 miles away, and nearby attractions include Norfolk Lavender and Sandringham Estate (both within 8 miles).
The countryside retreat has been tastefully decorated and furnished, with a neutral colour scheme, elegant furniture and carefully chosen artwork and accessories. Enter the property into the spacious kitchen/lounge, which boasts far-reaching views across open countryside. Spend time here, preparing meals in the sleek kitchen area and relaxing on the comfortable sofas next to the cosy wood burner. Just off the kitchen/lounge is a separate dining room which, again, benefits from fabulous rural views. A stylish shower room rounds off the ground floor. The two relaxing bedrooms are set in the eaves on the first floor, one of which has an en-suite shower room. Please note, both bedrooms have restricted head height in some areas, and there’s also a snug area on the landing with a TV and a sofa bed that can accommodate a further two guests. Outside, a haven of tranquillity awaits in the enclosed garden, where you’ll discover a large lawn, mature trees and shrubs, and a decked area with furniture and a BBQ for outdoor dining.
You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to nearby beaches. Heading north, you’ll soon reach Brancaster (7.5 miles), with its miles upon miles of unspoilt, golden sand. Alternatively, head to the west coast and the Victorian resort of Hunstanton (9.5 miles) which has a sand and shingle beach, long promenade, and traditional seaside shops and amusements. For a spot of retail therapy, journey to the picturesque village of Burnham Market. The olde-worlde village is full of character cottages and historic buildings, and is also home to over 30 independent shops, boutiques, and galleries.
