This attractive holiday home is in the quaint village of Worstead, set within the grounds of the village pub. The sociable, open-plan property sleeps four guests and makes a delightful couples’ retreat or base for a small family. The Norfolk Broads are on your doorstep, with the boating hub of Wroxham just 6.5 miles away. You’ll also be within easy reach of the long, sandy beaches of Norfolk’s heritage coast.

The characterful former stables have been lovingly renovated to create a bright and welcoming holiday home. Enter the property via a charming stable door into the lounge/kitchen/diner, which is decorated in a cheerful colour palette and is full of homely touches. Create tasty dishes in the country-style kitchen area, and enjoy family mealtimes together at the wooden dining table. In the evenings, relax in the cosy lounge area to watch TV. There is a ground-floor shower room, and you’ll find a further shower room upstairs. Completing the accommodation are two double bedrooms on the first floor. The property is set in the grounds of the village pub, and guests are welcome to use the pub gardens and there is also a playground nearby.

The bustling waterside town of Wroxham, often referred to as the capital of The Broads, has a great selection of independent shops to explore, as well as fabulous cafes and restaurants. You’ll find many boat hire companies here, enabling you to get out and explore on the water, and there are also beautiful walking trails in and around the town. From the cottage, enjoy day trips to both the north and east coast, to resorts such as Cromer, Sheringham, and Great Yarmouth (all within 20 miles). A nice clean cottage, very convenient for the local pub/restaurant (and the other delights of North Norfolk).

When we arrived at the cottage we were told that one of the two showers was broken from the previous guests and that the plumber would repair it the next day. However when we left a week later the shower was still not repaired. There were 4 adults staying at the cottage for that week and as you can appreciate the situation wasnt ideal. Apart from tRead morehe broken shower the cottage is an ideal location for a short break. It was nice to hear the church bells ringing on the Sunday morning Hide

The cottage is clean but facilities are basic. The village is good for exploring Norfolk. The church clock can disturb your sleep. The village has no shops/cafes except for the pub. The cottage lounge has an odd furniture layout so you need to move sofas to watch TV which is fixed high onto the wall. A faulty boiler meant no hot water/heating for 4Read more8 hours. The night before our last day the owner suggested we could move into 2 Church View. Too little, too late with no apology or compensation. Hide
