We are proud sponsors and supporters of the fantastic Sheringham Little Theatre, situated in the heart of Sheringham on the gorgeous north Norfolk coast. Sheringham Little Theatre offers a range of family entertainment, including drama, films, music, comedy and art.

Audiences of over 28,000 attended their events last year and over 5000 young people attended drama workshops. Sheringham Little Theatre offers fascinating workshops to local high schools and colleges, educating them on stage make-up, design, stage management and technical theatre. Sheringham Little Theatre also run weekly classes in stage skills, drama and dance for people aged 4 – 25, providing them with a chance to earn nationally recognised qualifications and appear on stage.

Below is a selection of fantastic events at Sheringham Little Theatre taking place over the coming months.

Thom Bailey and St George’s Theatre: Queers - Saturday 23rd June 2018 at 7:30pm

Thom Bailey and St George’s Theatre bring you Queers in collaboration with ‘Norfolk LGBT+ Project’, with part of the proceeds going towards the organisation. Returning from the trenches of World War I, a young soldier reminisces a love that dare not speak its name. Nearly 100 years later, a groom-to-be prepares to marry his boyfriend. Queers celebrates 100 years of evolving social attitudes and political milestones in British gay history. As seen through the perspective of individuals, Queers is poignant, personal, funny and tragic. The monologues explore many major events in the LGBT movement, with deeply affecting and personal stories.

True Motion Dance Showcase 2018 - Saturday 30th June 2018 at 6:00pm

Popular local dance group True Motion are thrilled to present this fantastic evening of dance, following the success of last year’s sell out performance. The dancers are aged between 4 and 16 and will be showcasing their impressive skills and passion of dance with creative routines in a variety of dance styles including pop, street and contemporary. True Motion’s Elite Youth Dance Company, alongside performing at Sheringham Little Theatre, will also be performing their amazing new dance at the Royal Norfolk Show.

Youth Musical Theatre: Little Women (The Musical) - Thursday 5th – Saturday 7th July 2018 at 7:30pm

Young Musical Theatre will be bringing a musical version of Louisa May Alcott’s classic tale of Little Women, which has been adapted by Allan Knee. The novel follows the story of Meg March, Jo March, Beth March and Amy March; all sisters but with very different personalities. The sisters challenge the expectations placed on them as women in 19th century America, and, supported by their loving Marmee and the adventurous boy next door Laurie, the girls aim to follow their dreams. Along the way, they experience true love, loss and friendship.

Family Theatre: Jumble Tales - Friday 17th and Friday 24th August 2018 at 2:30pm

Come and join the fun at Sheringham Little Theatre and watch the wonderful Jumble Tales, the perfect summer treat full of comedy, characters and audience participation. Based around fairy tales, you will get to meet Prince Charming, Cinderella, Rumpelstiltskin and Sleeping Beauty, plus much more. Ideal for ages 4yrs+.

Music: 1940s singalong - Friday 14th and Saturday 15th September 2018, at 3:30pm and 7:30pm

Visit Sheringham Little Theatre for a wartime classics singalong. You can even come in 1940s fancy dress; these events always prove to be a big hit with a real community feel. Due to the popularity of these events, booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.

Music: Last night of the proms, featuring Cromer & Sheringham Brass Band - Saturday 29th September 2018 at 7:30pm

The popular and local Cromer & Sheringham Brass Band will be presenting the annual Last Night of the Proms, performing the favourites including, Rule Britannia, Jerusalem, Sea Songs, Land of Hope & Glory etc amongst a fantastic programme of popular and traditional music.

Beauty and the Beast: Pantomime - Saturday 8th December until Tuesday 1st January 2019

Written by Killian Donnelly and directed by Nick Earnshaw, the pantomime team return this year with their magical Beauty and the Beast show. The mesmerising performance will be full of modern songs, dances, characters which will have you in stitches, mayhem and fabulous effects. The Beauty and the Beast pantomime will be the perfect festive treat for all the family.
