Milton's, Grimston

It’s no wonder the Queen has her country estate here and why The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen it as their home – the Royal Norfolk Coast is a beautifully pristine area of Norfolk, which is rich in history and heritage. With gorgeous stately homes such as Sandringham Estate and Houghton Hall nestled within the west Norfolk countryside and countless wonderful places to visit such as Norfolk Lavender, Castle Rising and the cliffs at Hunstanton, Royal Norfolk is a fantastic location for a break away.

Grimston is a lovely village approximately 7 miles east of King’s Lynn and just a few miles from the Sandringham Estate. The village was built on a spring line and in the late 19th Century, remains of a Roman villa were discovered near Watery Lane. Some of the bricks from this Roman villa were re-used in buildings throughout the village.

Located in the heart of the village of Grimston is Milton’s, a beautiful and modern bolt hole for three. Milton’s is perfect for a couple or a small family visiting the Royal Norfolk Coast; with gorgeous coastal paths and country lanes to explore, there is plenty to experience from this truly wonderful spot in west Norfolk.

With accommodation all on one level as well as wet room facilities, Milton’s is ideal for families of all ages and may also suit guests with limited mobility. When exploring Milton’s, you’ll discover the open-plan living/kitchen area which is complete with a delightfully comfortable four-seat corner sofa, Smart TV with FreeSat and WiFi. The kitchen area has a built-in electric oven with grill and ceramic hob, larder fridge, microwave and of course, a lovely dining table and chairs.

The master bedroom at Milton’s hosts a wonderful double bed and the second bedroom hosts a single bed. You can enjoy a relaxing shower in the walk-in wet room, complete with heated towel rail, washbasin and w/c.

Outside the property, there is a small, partially enclosed courtyard area with a table and chairs and a useful shed, perfect for storing bikes. Why not make the most of the gorgeous summer weather and start the day with a relaxing morning coffee outside. After a day of exploring your gorgeous west Norfolk surroundings, you can enjoy some al-fresco dining and perhaps a board game outside.

The village of Grimston has two pubs, The Bell and The Three Horseshoes, both within easy walking distance. The pubs serve great food so on days where you’d rather not cook (you’re on holiday after all!), these local pubs are fantastic alternatives. The neighbouring village of Congham has a luxury spa, Congham Hall, which is perfect for enjoying some afternoon tea or a luxury evening meal. Perhaps even treat yourself to a massage or a relaxing dip in the pool!

If bird watching is more your thing, you may enjoy taking a visit to the nearby bird reserves Snettisham and Titchwell. The seaside resort of Heacham is only a 20 minute drive away and Hunstanton is a 25 minute drive away, ideal for days of exploring the gorgeous Royal Norfolk Coast. Alternatively, enjoy beautiful walks along the coastal path and the Peddars Way. Also, Grimston is only a 10 minute drive away from the spectacular Sandringham Estate, which is not only a beautiful place to visit, but various events are held there throughout the year, including the Sandringham Flower Show and the Game and Country Fair.
