Remember, Remember The Fifth Of November
Gunpowder, Treason And Plot.
I See No Reason Why Gunpowder Treason,
Should Ever Be Forgot.

Did you know?!?
Up until 1959, it was actually illegal not to celebrate Bonfire night in Britain!
Even today, whenever a new session is opened in Parliament, the Yeoman of the Guard will search the basement making sure no one is hiding!
After the plot, a rule was made that a roman catholic cannot become King or Queen – this rule is still in place today.
The gunpowder that was to be used was so old, it is a widespread belief that the plan wouldn't have worked anyway!
When executed, Fawkes was described as the 'romantic caped figure of such evil villainy'
Here is just a selection of Firework displays taking place around Norfolk.
