Not one of the mainstream places on the Norfolk Broads, Ludham is a quieter, picturesque village next to which is a boaters cut and a magnificent stop off at Womack Staithe. Woodbine Cottage at Womack is one of many pet friendly Norfolk Country Cottages properties, where well behaved dogs are welcome. As an added bonus the Kings Arms public house is 5 minutes walk away and welcomes canine companions with their well-behaved owners, in the bar area.
A wide choice of delicious home cooked food is available, very reasonably priced and the locals are extremely friendly. For the fisherman in the households, the Staithe itself is noted for its roach, bream, perch and pike fishing so it’s a case of wandering over the road from the cottage to wet a line or hiring one of the many variations of boat from the Staithe, by the hour, to venture outside of the Staithe to find complete tranquillity.
A local map is all you need to find the numerous broads and trails, beautiful countryside walks and excellent sandy beaches nearby and along the Norfolk Coast, a short drive away. Sparky Holiday Snaps. Sea Palling in particular is a tremendous beach on which to let the dog run whilst you fill your lungs with the uplifting sea air. When the weather is warm and sunny there is nothing better than a bit of sun bathing in a Norfolk Country Cottage, holiday home garden.
