Just a reminder, it’s only a week to go for the Holt Christmas Light Switch On! (Wednesday 19th November 2014) This popular event attracts visitors from all over the country, gets more spectacular every year and is a great evening for all ages.
The event starts at 4.30pm, when the main roads are closed off and the streets are filled with a variety of stalls to tempt you. (Can highly recommend the hog roasts!)There will be musical entertainment from North Norfolk Radio, Mark Jones Choir and the Fakenham Band. For the children there will be face-painting, Razz the Clown, a window trail and a chance to meet a reindeer. (Unfortunately I can’t guarantee it will be Rudolf)
Many of the shops stay open, so this is a perfect time to start or finish your Christmas Shopping! We will also be open, so please do call in to our Holt office and say hello.
The big “Switch On” is at 6.45pm, when the town is magically transformed with hundreds of white lights, this year the honour is with Norfolk born and bred television personality Jake Humphrey. He will also be starting the Finale Firework display at 7pm.
If you are staying with us in the area, I can suggest this is an excellent event you will not want to miss to get you in the Christmassy mood. (The mulled wine usually helps as well!)
No worries if you are unable to attend the evening, needless to say the lights will remain lit, in the run up to Christmas so you can come visit our delightful unique town after the event and experience the magical winter wonderland of Holt……….
Enjoys running, cycling, going to the theatre and supporting Norwich City Football Club.
