Christmas Tree Trail
One of the best things I love about Christmas is seeing a Christmas tree all decorated up, and it’s an important tradition to have a real Christmas tree at home. Even when I first moved out into a tiny one bedroom flat, I still managed to have a 7ft tree........ Although it did fill the entire living room!
I guess I get this from my mum who is exactly the same, and I have many happy childhood memories of spending hours looking at every single tree available in Norfolk trying to find the perfect one!Although we did have a debate every year as to what should go on the top of the tree, mum likes an angel, where I prefer a star……… Now older, and having my own tree I am pleased to say the star always wins!!
There’s just something truly magical and the Christmassy smell a real tree brings to your home that an artificial one is unable to do.
So imagine my excitement when I heard this year Norwich is holding a Christmas Tree Trail. Not only can you explore the great city, do some Christmas shopping but also discover 30 beautifully decorated Christmas trees (running 17th November – 30th December) at different locations & attractions around Norwich. Some of the places to locate them include, The Assembly House, Castle Mall, Jarrolds, John Lewis, Norwich Castle, Norwich Theatre Royal, The Forum and The Odeon…… All you have to do is collect 15 stamps from different sites for your chance to win some fantastic prizes including a Champagne afternoon tea, Lunch for two at the Library Restaurant, M&S food hamper, plus £100’s worth of gift vouchers.
Naturally I’m counting down the days to the 17th when mum and I will be hitting the streets to check out as many of the decorated Christmas trees as we can……. And of cause entering this great competition!
