Norfolk has so much on offer to keep the children entertained. Here is a list of just some of the fantastic events happening at the end of May.

The Great Grubby Boat Race at Bewilderwood24 May - 1 June 2014, 10am - 5 pmThe Grubbles are here, the Grubbles are here! These round and cosy characters from 'A BeWILDermuddle', the third in the series of BeWILDerwood books, form a nomadic tribe and are very good friends with the Boggles. Arriving at the same time each year in a great flotilla of coracles, they paddle their way down the Dismal Dyke to set up camp at The Long Lagoon.This May half term the Big Hat will be a hub of activity - here you can get busy building magnificent blow boats - as extraordinary and unexpected as you like - join in the race to get to the Twiggle turreted houses and petite Grubble grottos. On the Norfolk Coast there will be a number of activities taking place from the 50 Things to do before your 11 ¾…... ranging from hunting for bugs, to catching a crab to finding a geocache and many many more. . This is a great opportunity to experience a wide range of ‘50 Things' whilst visiting some amazing places... These activities are designed to be self-led by you as a family. Picnic at Norwich Puppet Theatre31 May 2014, 11am - 4pm Price: £8.50 Come and spend the morning, the afternoon or the whole day at a mini-festival, plus a picnic at the Puppet Theatre, Norwich. There will be super puppetry performances throughout the day, including the wonderful Little Fawn Caravan and the forever fun Garlic Theatre.There will also be a drop-in glove puppet workshop where you can make your own character, guided by our expert workshop leaders and with a huge selection of magic materials and delightful decor to make your puppet completely unique. Soccer on the Sands at Great Yarmouth Seafront31 May - 1 June 2014, 10.30am - 4pm Over 1000 girls and boys are welcomed to Great Yarmouth's Central Beach for this event, which is staged in partnership with Great Yarmouth Borough Council. This youth beach football event – the biggest of its kind in England – incorporates 128 teams, ranging from U7's to U13's, all taking part over the course of a fun filled weekend.
