Norfolk is Bonza!
I’m just back from Australia, where I visited Melbourne, Sydney and yes I did climb to the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is tough but I highly recommend it. Later I went to stay at Torquay, the surfing centre of the world and the start of The Great Ocean Road.
I also gave a talk on my family roots and Norfolk at the Geelong Family History group. I was amazed how many Australians knew Norfolk well and loved the county.
I naturally told them to contact Norfolk Country Cottages for a fabulous holiday cottage to stay in when they come to Norfolk again.

Moira is not the only person to rave about Norfolk to the Aussies.
The Sun-Herald, a Sunday edition of the Sydney morning Herald recently did a feature on Norfolk.
Written by journalist Winsor Dobbin a former Norfolk boy, he gives a glowing travel feature stating Norfolk is one of Britains best kept secrets.
Certain Norfolk areas he mentions in his article include the idyllic Holkham Beach, Great Yarmouth with its traditional style seaside funfair, Norwich as a charming medieval city, also Wroxham & Hoveton and suggests taking a small boat ride along the broads viewing the many unique windmills, tea rooms and villages.
With all these fantastic reviews, I’m sure the Aussies would agree Norfolk is just bonza for Holidays!
