A Day In Norwich

Published: Monday 10th Mar 2014

What a lovely sunny Spring day it was in Norfolk yesterday. We went into Norwich, walked around The Lanes, then went for lunch at The Bell.

It was then time to walk off the lovely lunch around The Castle gardens. Crocuses and daffodils were bright and cheery swaying in the breeze. The path then took us up to the Castle where we visited the Roman Exhibition. A must see! It was very good with exhibits from the British Museum and many of the hoards having been found in Norfolk. There was also a quiz sheet for children to follow and  ‘Romanopoly’ to play. .

It was then a must to visit the Boudicca display. Amazing torques and jewellery from the Iceni tribes.

Last but not least coffee and cake in the Rotunda café.
