Looking for a traditional family friendly seaside town, then Hunstanton ticks all the boxes. It is the only west facing resort on the east coast and is fondly known locally as “Sunny Hunny.” The North beach is one of the most instantly recognisable beaches with its backdrop of brown & white striped cliffs. Where the southern part of the beach is all about fun! – a lovely stretch of sandy beach can be found here which can keep the children happy for hours, playing cricket, building sandcastles, having donkey rides and paddling in the sea.
Behind the beach is a traditional promenade along which you can simply stroll and take in some fresh sea air, or try out some exciting rides at the fairground.
Other things to do in the town include swimming, tennis, pitch & putt, crazy golf, bowling, not forgetting a visit to the all-new Sealife Sanctuary – here you can see penguins, otters, sharks, sea turtles, spider crabs, rays, seahorses. The interactive rock pool will always be a big hit with little ones, along with Clownfish Kingdom – hundreds of Nemos!
Old Hunstanton is a somewhat quieter than its neighbour and offers you a more relaxed feel in a picturesque village.
Take a walk along the Norfolk coastal path in this area and you are guaranteed stunning views, often spectacular sunsets and ample birdwatching opportunities throughout the year. Hunstanton is also in a perfect location for you to visit a number of wildlife reserves close by including Dersingham, Holme, Snettisham and Titchwell.
