The River Bure meanders prettily among the meadows of North Norfolk, passing quietly through the National Trust's Blickling Hall estate, skirting the attractive market town of Aylsham, through Oxnead water mill, then a big lazy loop by Lammas church before feeding Buxton Mill and then on down to the Norfolk Broads. Buxton is the main village with two pubs and two shops but there is a wider range of small shops in Aylsham. Norwich, the coast and the main centres of the Norfolk Broads are all about 20 minutes away by car. Map Ref: B7

Millers Lodge is situated in the Grade II listed Buxton Mill. The mill has been beautifully converted to provide tasteful, modern and spacious accommodation whilst still retaining the charm and character of the old building. The second floor apartment is at the front of the mill and looks across the road towards the mill stream and water meadows. The surrounding countryside is very peaceful and full of wildlife, with riverside walks and fishing virtually on the doorstep. This really is a property for all seasons. The accommodation is attractively furnished and comfortable with excellent facilities with the amenities of Buxton village a short distance away. Shop: 0.5 miles Pub: 0.5 miles

Notes: The mill is situated on the road that runs through the village. The apartment is on the second floor of the mill, access is via the lift or stairs. There is an entry phone system for visitors. Due to the proximity to water this property is unsuitable for children under the age of ten. Small babies are welcome, please bring your own travel cot and advise on booking.
