Poringland is a good base from which to explore many aspects of Norfolk. It is only six miles from the fine city of Norwich, which is home to a host of attractions from a Norman Castle to two modern shopping centres, one of which is in the Castle grounds. The Norfolk Broads and the sandy beaches of the East Coast are also both just a short drive away. Poringland itself is home to The Play Barn, which is a fun-packed award-winning indoor and outdoor play centre for children aged seven and under.
