West Runton is a small cliff-top village situated between the traditional seaside resorts of Cromer and Sheringham. The beach is sand and pebbles with rock pools at low tide. The location is ideal for those who want to use their car as little as possible because the beach, village shops, pub, excellent eating places, a golf course and The Hillside Animal Sanctuary and Shire Horses, with horse riding, are all close at hand. Hurlingham House is a handsome Victorian house, just a 15 minute walk from the sea. It is well set back from the road, overlooking the common, which has a small stream.
