This pretty seaside village boasts pale sandy beaches and mile upon mile of sand dunes, thus making Winterton a great location for a quiet and traditional family beach holiday. The dunes form part of the Winterton Dunes Nature Reserve and, with its abundance of footpaths, it is a great place to wander and observe the wildlife. You may even catch a glimpse of the rare Natterjack toad. Prospect Place is an end-terraced, original, fisherman’s cottage which is situated in a quiet but central part of the village. Attractively furnished, it offers comfortable family accommodation within a short walk of the sandy beach.  The village has two general stores, a post office and fish & chip shop.  The Fisherman’s Return is the popular local village pub and features in many well known pub guides.
