Our Offices

We are very fortunate to work in such lovely offices as Carlton House at Reepham and The Old Crab Shop at Holt. Here is a potted history of both buildings. If you want to have a look around simply click on the link at the end of each description.

Carlton House - A Potted History

This is where it all happens - our home in the centre of the small market town of Reepham. Purchased in 1991, Carlton House was completely renovated, with a lot of hard work, into offices (we had to treat dry rot, wet rot, deathwatch beetle... you name it, we had it). Carlton House was purchased mainly due to the business and family outgrowing the Ellis family home. After the building work, we eventually moved into one room at the front of Carlton House in 1992. In 1996 we renovated the barn at the back of Carlton House and relocated into this lovely new part of the building, which has many original beams and features. In recent years, we have revamped the building even further and now occupy the adjacent shop which we have opened as a gallery displaying local artist's work. Our friendly and professional Reservation Team work from this area as well as other offices in Carlton House. We love this building and are really pleased to work in and be an integral part of this wonderful town - do come and visit us in Reepham any time.

The Old Crab Shop

The Old Crab Shop opened as the new Norfolk Country Cottages office in April 2007. The building was bought by the Ellis family in late 2006 and renovated to provide a two roomed office space with a flat upstairs. Prior to this the shop was owned and run by Roger Copeman as a Fishmongers specialising in crabs, hence the name, The Old Crab Shop. Roger was a well known and much loved character in Holt and many people have called in to the office to talk about him and the shop. Luckily there are still other fish shops in Holt and crabs are still sold from the front room window of a neighbouring property in Albert Street!
