Situated on a quiet backstreet in Wells-next-the-sea, this charming little fisherman’s cottage provides a peaceful place for an easy town centre retreat. Wander out each morning to reach the locally run bakeries, coffee shops and grocery stores that add to the town’s eclectic charm, choosing to enjoy your morning coffee at the property, out in the conservatory or whilst sitting by the water nearby (300 metres). The cottage itself is a bijou two-bed where four guests will feel right at home, complete with characterful design features and ever-cosy furnishings and interiors.

Little features including a stained-glass window, authentic wooden floorboards and exposed brickwork elevate this cottage’s quirky décor. Step inside to be greeted by a sociable lounge/kitchen/diner space where lazy mornings and restful evenings can be spent. In the lounge, sofas and armchairs are positioned around a Smart TV and a feature fireplace, a fabulous spot for getting stuck into a box set as night falls. When it’s time to retire, wander up spiral stairs to reach a double bedroom with a bathroom adjacent, or continue up another flight of stairs to reach the final bedroom.

Regardless of what attracts you to scenic North Norfolk, Wells-next-the-sea is a fantastic base from which to explore the local area. The vast beach is backed by colourful beach huts and a vibrant nature reserve, just 1.5 miles away and accessible via an easy walking route or a regular bus from town. Nearby you’ll also find Holkham Hall (2.5 miles), a vast estate with gardens and land that you can explore. A similarly regal is Sandringham Estate (19.5 miles), a little further away but well worth a visit. Whilst in that area, stop off at the local Norfolk Lavender farm (17 miles) before dropping into Hunstanton (17 miles) for a fish and chip tea!

The fridge had no working light and the freezer compartment needed defrosting. The rugs and arms of the sofa needed cleaning.

We had a great holiday and the cottage was lovely, although parking was a slight issue. We managed the staircase but others, even less agile than us, would have found it difficult to cope. Kitchen facilities were very good although we didn't actually get to grips with the oven!! (probably our fault!!). One other thing - a larger 'pyrex' bowl would Read morehave been a great asset for making our morning porridge!!! Thanks Hide

Lovely and peaceful location, despite being just off the high street so we could pop out to the greengrocers, fish mongers, bakers and the many other shop or stroll down to the Quay. Such a delight to watch the Estuary at different times of day and at different tides. Handy free parking outside alley too, if you're lucky.. and we were.
