A spacious ground-floor apartment overlooking The Buttlands, a large tree-lined green in the centre of this iconic port town. Set within Monteagle House, a prominent Grade II listed building, this characterful, traditionally-styled apartment offers comfort and natural light and almost every turn. The long lounge/diner has a timeless feel to it, a wonderful setting for social gatherings. The room leads via a door to the kitchen, which features a breakfast bar overlooking The Buttlands. The double and the twin bedrooms nearby are tastefully furnished and served by a small shower room. The small, attractive patio at the front of the property is an intimate corner to enjoy everything from morning coffees and people-watching to indulgent fish suppers after a long day wandering the coast.

Wells-next-the-Sea is home to an impressive array of amenities and attractions which are accessible on foot or by pedal power. The Buttlands (50 metres) is a lovely place for a group picnic, while the surrounding streets lined with shops, cafes and pubs feed down towards the bustling quayside. Warham Salt Marshes and Wells Beach (within 1.5 miles) are worth the walk and, for an even longer day out, the natural, cultural and historical wonders of Holkham Hall (1.5 miles) will live long in the memory.

The bed very uncomfortable and duvet was grubby. There was only a small used toilet roll with no replacements provided. Otherwise it was a lovely stay

Very clean and cosy, great location, parked the car in view of the apartment and didn't use it for the whole stay as everything is in walking distance.

Wifi would be nice but not essential. The lack of it wouldn't stop us booking a long weekend but would think twice for a week as for a whole week might need to do office work on laptop.

The location was excellent and the flat was comfortable, but the oven didnt work.. Only negative was that there was no wi-fi, which is a must these days, especially for children.
