The UK self catering holiday season typically extends from April to October and our bookings record is excellent – we regularly achieve an above average number of weeks booked per property each year. But we never rest on our laurels, and always look for new ways to promote our business and your holiday home and to extend the season.
Teams of marketing, PR, website and IT specialists plays a crucial role in our relationship with homeowners. Strategic advertising promotions, direct mail initiatives and attention-grabbing media campaigns make sure that our name is known not just throughout the UK, but in Europe too.
We host familiarisation trips for journalists from national and international newspapers and magazines, and work closely with the local tourism agencies to ensure that Norfolk Country Cottages is front-of-mind whenever their staff are promoting holidays in the county.
Our fully illustrated brochure is published in October each year and distributed to more than 8000 previous-year customers and media contacts. A monthly enewsletter featuring seasonal events and holiday home selections, special offers and newly-recruited properties is sent to a database of 15,000 previous customers and enquirers. And our Facebook and Twitter pages give us an opportunity to communicate daily with anyone who has an interest in Norfolk and holidays here.
Technical know-how extends even further with our clever use of the internet to promote our business and your property in a variety of ways – as you will already have seen, our website is a splendid showcase for all the properties we represent, and features 360-degree tours of each, plus full search and booking functions as well as news of special offers and seasonal promotions.
We are also a member of Cottageline, a countrywide association of privately-owned independent holiday cottage agencies who pride themselves on having intimate knowledge of their cottages and local areas. Cottageline includes links to our own website and highlights 'featured properties' from our portfolio.
And we own a huge number of other websites which give us the opportunity to ‘repackage’ our property portfolio in a variety of ways – we have sites catering specially for those seeking self catering cottages for large groups, or holiday homes in specific locations, for example.
