Norwich Puppet Theatre is home to a professional theatre company, creating and presenting its own work, under artistic director Luis Z. Boy, not only in the Theatre's own performance space but also touring in a wide variety of educational establishments and theatre venues throughout the UK and overseas. Visiting companies also perform in the theatre, and there is a year round programme of varied performance, workshop and masterclass activity in the building. Norwich Puppet Theatre also has a gallery space in the Octagon Studio that features visual art. Norwich Puppet Theatre actively encourages visitors and is happy to welcome those wishing to look round the historic building, discuss our art form or to talk to theatre staff. Norwich Puppet Theatre is keen to help in the development of projects for makers, performers or researchers, or to encourage a general interest in the Theatre of Animation. The Puppet Theatre is housed in the strikingly converted Medieval church of St James in the City of Norwich, England. It has an international reputation for its work and the most comprehensive facilities of the four buildings that are solely dedicated to theatre of animation in the UK.
