Nature reserves are at Titchwell, Holme and Cley and there are golf courses at Brancaster, Hunstanton and Fakenham. Good sailing can be enjoyed at Brancaster, Blakeney and Burnham Overy Staithe, with splendid country and coastal walks also. Brancaster and neighbouring Brancaster Staithe are lovely coastal villages, which have much to offer, making them ideal holiday locations at any time of the year. There is a wonderful sandy beach, numerous coastal and countryside walks, a golf course, a tennis court and excellent sailing from Brancaster Staithe. A little further along the coast there are many interesting bird reserves including Scolt Head, Titchwell and Holme next the Sea.

Mattishall lies in the very heart of Norfolk, central to many of the county's attractions. There are a number of footpaths in the area with both fishing and golf available within four miles of the village. The market town of Dereham is five miles away and offers a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs as well as having a cinema and a sports centre. Mattishall itself has village shops and a pub/restaurant, with a restaurant in Yaxham one and a half miles away. Map Ref: C5

The Old Mill is a beautiful conversion of an old corn mill, absolutely brimming full of character. It is a lovely romantic hideaway, very attractively presented with antique furnishings and a very high attention to detail making it an an ideal holiday retreat. It is set on the edge of the village within the beautiful grounds of the owner's home. Norwich International Airport is 20 minutes away (pick-ups can be arranged) and The Old Mill is 20 minutes from the University of East Anglia. Shop: 0.5 miles Pub: 1 mile
