Brancaster and neighbouring Brancaster Staithe are lovely coastal villages, which have much to offer, making them ideal holiday locations at any time of the year. There is a wonderful sandy beach, numerous coastal and countryside walks, a golf course, a tennis court and excellent sailing from Brancaster Staithe. A little further along the coast there are many interesting bird reserves including Scolt Head, Titchwell and Holme next the Sea.

The Staithe at Sutton is a picturesque location on the River Ant. Boats can be hired from the Staithe and fishing is permissible with a rod licence. Sutton village boasts the largest corn mill in the country at nine storeys’ high and whilst not open to the public it is well worth a look. The village is also home to a small pottery studio. The small market town of Stalham is the home of the Broads Museum and is just minutes away. The beach at Sea Palling is just four miles, with Happisburgh, Winterton and Eccles beaches a little further. Both Norwich and Great Yarmouth are easily accessible and the centre of the Broads at Wroxham is a short distance by car. Map Ref: B7
