Houghton St. Giles is a small hamlet located in a lovely part of rural North Norfolk. It is surrounded by farmland and is home to the 14th century Roman Catholic Shrine, known as The Slipper Chapel. Neighbouring Little Walsingham has been a centre for pilgrimage for centuries and still has the atmosphere of a medieval village with an ancient gateway leading to the ruins of the priory. Notes: Bedroom 1 is a landing bedroom and all of the first floor rooms lead directly from it. There are also steep stairs in keeping with a property of this age. No smoking in the cottage.
