This pretty seaside village boasts pale sandy beaches and mile upon mile of sand dunes, thus making Winterton a great location for a quiet and traditional family beach holiday. The dunes form part of the Winterton Dunes Nature Reserve and, with its abundance of footpaths, it is a great place to wander and observe the wildlife. You may even catch a glimpse of the rare Natterjack toad. The church tower in the village is the third highest in Norfolk and the old Lighthouse is now accommodation attached to the local hotel.  Map Ref: C8
                                    
Prospect Place is an end-terraced, original, fisherman’s cottage which is situated in a quiet but central part of the village. Attractively furnished, it offers comfortable family accommodation within a short walk of the sandy beach.  The village has two general stores, a post office and fish & chip shop.  The Fisherman’s Return is the popular local village pub and features in many well known pub guides. The area is good for bird and seal watching and the Broads can easily be reached at West Somerton, two miles away.  Shop: 50 yards  Pub: 150 yards

Pets: One well behaved dog welcome, must be kept downstairs at all times.
