Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life at this lovingly renovated former Flint bank nestled in the heart of the charming village of Harleston. Ideal for families and couples, this dog-friendly home-from-home is perfect for anyone looking to dive into the playground of outdoor activities the Norfolk/Suffolk border is famous for.

At the end of a long day’s adventure, grab your delicious local produce to whip up a hearty feast in the contemporary kitchen/diner. This light and bright social space offers plenty of room for culinary geniuses to get creative whilst the whole gang shares tales of the day’s adventures seated around the dining table. Head into the homely lounge to unwind weary walking muscles on the comfy sofa after a day of exploring the Waveney Valley. Answer the call of bedtime upstairs by retiring to either the king-size or twin bedroom, which both boast characterful original features and crisp white linens that’ll lull you into a peaceful slumber. While there is no outside space at this cottage, a fine summer’s evening can be spent at Harleston Park less than half a mile away with playgrounds, tennis courts and a cricket pitch.

Set at the heart of the idyllic Waveney Valley, the historic market town of Harleston is a paradise for those who love nothing better than soaking up local history and perusing a selection of speciality, independent shops. The fine Georgian houses and courtyards of the town centre house an array of local shops, cafes and restaurants, plus the weekly Wednesday market samples some of the area’s best local produce. Keen outdoor adventures can encounter a beautiful array of wildlife and picturesque views by hiring a canoe at Captain Cook Canoes in nearby Wortwell 2.5 miles away to explore the River Waveney from its best watery angle. Further Afield is the historic city of Norwich, which is just 20 miles. Alternatively the picturesque sea side resort of Southwold is just 23 miles away.

Such a beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location. We've had such a perfect stay and would certainly recommend your home. From their son: I liked the town because of the peace and quiet.

Review from Raine the account manager - Day visit in June 23 I visited the property in June and met the owners there. What an amazing job they have done renovating this property to stylish and modern yet cosy and homely holiday home. Ample cooking equipment, crockery, books and games for your stay. Location is fantastic as you are right in the cenRead moretre of Harleston itself so all the shops, restaurants, pubs, cafe's and takeaways are right on the doorstep. If you wanted to visit the coast you are only a 40 minute drive from the popular town of Southwold and the rest of the Suffolk coast or you will be based perfectly to explore the rest of the Suffolk countryside and villages. Pet friendly as well so you will find loads of great walks to take the pooch on! Hide
