Stay in a converted artist's studio with characterful wooden features – like the beamed ceiling, staircase and cladded walls. This romantic couple’s bolthole oozes charm and comfort and is set in a tranquil rural area overlooking wooded grounds. Explore the picturesque Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where you can enjoy picnics on the golden sandy beaches, strolls through nature reserves and visit the charming English market towns.

On one side of the room is a cosy lounge area with plump seating around the wood burner-effect electric fire and TV. Behind this is a wooden dining table with chairs and a neutral-toned one-wall kitchen with a convenient dishwasher and washing machine. Climb the stairs to reach the shower room plus a king-size bedroom which boasts a large window seat. Outside is a romantic patio area with seating and a BBQ where you can admire the views of the surrounding gardens.

During your stay in the pretty village of Southrepps which is filled with brick and flint cottages, there’s a historic 15th-century church with an imposing tower plus a shop and pub to discover (all within 1 mile). Spend a day on the expansive sandy Trimingham Beach (4 miles) and stroll along the Sidestand and Trimingham Cliffs (2.5 miles). For an activity day out, head to Cromer (5 miles) for boat trips, golf or a date at the zoo. Stroll around the 15th-century National Trust Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate (6 miles) to discover a tranquil lake and woodland. Lovely homely feeling cottage with olde world charm, set near to a smallholding with a variety of animals. Very secluded spot in a quiet lane. The owners Linda and David were very welcoming and attentive, lovely people. 5 stars.

The Studio is in an ideal location for access to the coast and places of interest inland. It is a very cosy and unique place to stay and we found it very relaxing and welcoming. The owners are very friendly and helpful and have an interesting assortment of animals next to the property.

We love 'The Studio' because it is so peaceful. We enjoy the nearness of the animals and my wife enjoys sketching there. Being in the studio of an artist Claughton Pellew is really all she could have wanted. The owners did everything to make us feel welcome and this is why this is our third visit! We shall be back again.

We only scored 3 for comfort as the mattress on the bed was not good. We had to put blankets under the sheet to help but we were still uncomfortable. A new mattress or mattress topper would make this a better property. The location was very peaceful and the local pub was excellent for food.
