A charming hideaway for two guests in the pretty village of Paston just outside of Mundesley. Spend days exploring the North Norfolk Coast, visiting pretty seaside towns, and walking the countryside before retreating to this delightful and stylish home to dine alfresco on your private patio area.

Hidden down a little country lane, this colourful reverse-level home is a practical and stylish retreat. Accessed via some external stairs, head through the front door and into the hallway where you can leave your walking boots or flip-flops. The twin bedroom is well-appointed and has lovely countryside views from the window. Adjacent to this is the shower room and separate WC. Upstairs, you will find the bright and airy open-plan living area. Prepare and cook delicious meals and picnics in the practical kitchen, sit around the cosy table for two, or get comfortable on the lounge sofas and flick on a TV show or film. Immediately outside is a sunny patio area which has a bistro patio set for you to dine alfresco or enjoy an evening tipple.

Mundesley (2 miles) is a pretty Victorian seaside village. The golden sandy shoreline is spacious and fabulous for swimming and sunbathing. Within the village, you will also find several cafes, shops and a pub. If you are a couple who love long walks, head off along the Norfolk Coast Path which winds 84 miles along the coastline and passes superb views. You will also be able to easily access the bustling town of Cromer (8.5 miles) or spend a day at the National Trust's Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate (10.5 miles).

Perfectly situated overlooking lanes and fields. Very quiet location. A pleasure to stay in such a well equipped cottage. It was also a pleasure to meet the very friendly owners. One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in.

On our arrival we were made very welcome. The cottage is clean comfortable and well equipped. There is so much within easy reach that you always have something to do or somewhere to go, or if you wish you can stay in and be cozy. The treats of muffins and biscuits are really appreciated.

This is a thoughtfully managed property with clear consideration given to the needs of guests. It felt more like a good hotel than self-catering. The welcome was as warm as the Lodge (it is toasty!) The cottage is very well designed and has everything you would need for a short break. The owners are lovely and are only too willing to offer advice and recommendations and are both a mine of information on local places to visit etc and are great to simply stand and chat with. My only criticism is the bed was a little firm for my liking but this iRead mores a personal preference and am sure that others would find it more than adequate. Would definitely stay again! Hide

We had a lovely week in the lodge. Warmly welcomed by our hosts with goodies on arrival. We were shown everything we needed to know, and despite it being the beginning of November the heaters in the cottage worked beautifully and we were cosy and warm. It was a good location to go in different directions up and down the coast. We were blessed with Read moregood weather apart from one day, which also helped! A lovely upside down cottage, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. We wanted for nothing. The owners were friendly, there for us if we needed anything. The cottage parking space was not big enough for our car so they happily suggested we could park on their private parking area. A great base from which to explore the area.

A perfect spot for exploring the North Norfolk Coast. The lodge is in a peaceful position and owned by the lovely Alison and Jessel who go out of their way to make you feel welcome with the many little extras left for you on arrival. The lodge is comfortable and well equipped. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Sundial Lodge is an ideal place to explore this area of Norfolk. Situated near many 'quiet lanes', it was perfect for cycling around the countryside to Cromer and elsewhere. The lodge had everything we needed, and quite a few little goodies thrown in. Parking was just up the road in the owners driveway.
